This is more of a set of guidelines than an actual tutorial.
1. All IC posts should be 3rd Person, Past Tense.
---Correct: Susie walked into the study, searching for anything that would aid her in her search. There! By the sofa...a knife. Tentatively, she walked forward and picked it up.
---Incorrect: Bill walks into the kitchen. He sees a lead pipe lying on the counter. It is dented. Bill picks it up and looks at it.
2. Any OOC comment in an IC post should be separated from the rest of the post and marked as OOC. No pure OOC posts are allowed in IC threads.
3. The only pure OOC boards are Personnel Files and Fandom
4. All posts in IC threads should be at *minimum* one paragraph in length. That's five complete sentences. Should be easy, right? I don't want to have to implement a minimum word requirement...
5. Please use proper spelling....the Spell Check button is there for a reason. And I'm sure most browsers (Firefox, for example) has an option to auto-spell check as you type.
6. If one or fewer people are left in a thread, that thread is to be considered -finished-. AKA: If everyone leaves, there's no point in staying. Once the events of one thread are complete, move onto the next one.
---Example: Susie has left Bill alone in the Ballroom to search the Library. Bill decides that the Conservatory would be a good place to look for clues. The thread in the Ballroom is over. Susie begins a new thread in the Library, and Bill begins a new thread in the Conservatory.
Thus order is kept.
